Pretty much my feelings on this as well, though I am not sure if the girl bought the laptop with her money or if it was a gift. The fact still stands that this man’s response was abusive and violent, and it made me as well really really uncomfortable to watch it. There are so many better ways to approach your 15 year old daughter about venting to her friends if you disagree with it. That was definitely not one of them.
