I am too gross and sick feeling right now to find a proper source for this, but I just got a drink downstairs and briefly looked at the paper, which was a bad idea. It said something about, there was a recent ruling in Delaware that said women should be able to receive contraceptives free of charge under their health plan. But the Catholic church in our state is being a fucknut and trying to fight it because it ‘goes against their religious freedom granted by the US’
I am sorry but, I do not think you understand what religious freedom means. It MEANS you can practice whatever religion you want, and I can practice another religion, and both of our religious choices for ourselves should be respected. What you think it means apparently is that you can make choices for everyone else according to what your religion says and disregard what every other person’s religious or personal choices are. How about this? If women want to have contraceptives, they should be available to them free of charge. But if it goes against their religion to use it, they have the right to refuse it. But the only person who is allowed to make that choice for them is THEM, the women the contraceptives are available to. Not some reverend or bishop or whoever the fuck you are.
